Product lifecycle management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire life cycle of a product, from idea through engineering design and manufacturing, to customer use and service in the field. PLM integrates people, data, processes and business systems and provides a product information backbone for companies. Extended means across the entire chain of companies.
The Project E-PLM 2.0 of the Ambient Intelligence research group is a testing ground in which the experiments focus on the safe and effective exchange of data between suppliers and customers. The results from the experiments are best practices that enable participants to take important efficiency steps. In the context of E-PLM 2.0, Saxion focuses in particular on experiments around the measurement and management of (industrial / big) data, data analysis and IoT (Internet of things) in practice.
