Saxion building in Deventer evacuated due to smoke
Around noon, the Saxion building in Deventer was evacuated due to smoke from a lab test. The smoke moved outside the extractor's range and triggered the alarm system. The company emergency response officers had the situation well under control, managing to evacuate the 1,000 students and employees who were present in the building. After ten minutes, everyone was allowed back in.
Two tests were being held in various classrooms. These tests were stopped and have been rescheduled. Any student affected by this will receive further information from their school.
