03-02-2021 Corona update: Lockdown extended

Reading time Minutes

In the press conference on Tuesday, February 2, Mark Rutte announced that the lockdown will be extended to March 2. The curfew is extended until February 10. In this update we inform you about what that means for the timetable of term 3.

Timetable term 3

Until 2 March (weeks 3.1 and 3.2), education, with the exception of practical lessons and exams, will take place online. For this, planned physical lessons are converted to online lessons as much as possible. The adjusted timetables will be published in Xedule no later than 5 February. We will await the next press conference on 23 February before making any changes to the schedules for after 2 March (week 3.3 till 3.8). There is also an alternative plan for education in those weeks, in case the lockdown is unexpectedly extended again. If this happens, we will adjust the timetables accordingly.

Curfew

Until 10 February, no educational activities (including exams) are scheduled after 8 p.m. in the Saxion buildings due to the curfew. In doing this we facilitate students and employees to get home in time before curfew. This allows us to avoid working with curfew declarations. However, if you run into problems with your travel time, you can download a ‘Self-declaration curfew’ here as proof that you were on location for an exam. A student also needs a statement from Saxion. For this the Exam Office can be contacted.
