Step 1: Check your study choice

Still not sure which study programme is right for you? You’re not alone. Start by exploring your interests, strengths and ambitions, and write them down.

Take this study choice test to help you discover which study programmes could be a good match for you.

Step 2: Explore our study programmes

Once you have an idea of what you want to study, explore the different study programmes in more detail.

Visit the study programme pages to find out what you will learn, which skills you will develop and what practical experience you can gain. You can also watch student testimonials on YouTube to get a better idea of what studying at Saxion is like from a student’s perspective.

Step 3: Is living in the Netherlands for you?

Choosing to study abroad also means choosing where you want to live. Take some time to get to know the Netherlands and think about whether it feels like the right place for you.

Explore what it is like to live and study in one of Saxion's cities (Apeldoorn, Deventer or Enschede), and find out more about the career opportunities here. Want to get a better impression of student life? Browse Instagram and YouTube to discover more about life as a student in the Netherlands.

Step 4: Prepare your questions

The Digital Discovery Day is your chance to ask questions. So, think about what you want to know before you join.

Questions about your study programme could include:

What will I learn during the programme?
Which skills will I develop?
What kind of practical experience will I gain?
What career opportunities are there after graduation?
What are the admission requirements?

You may also have questions about living in the Netherlands, for example:

How can I find housing?
What do I need to know about the visa process?
How does health insurance work in the Netherlands?
What practical matters should I arrange before I arrive?

You can also explore our FAQ to find answers to common questions before joining a Digital Discovery Day.

Step 5: Make your schedule for the Digital Discovery Day

Make the most of the Digital Discovery Day by planning your day in advance. Check the programme and write down the sessions you want to attend. Block the sessions in your agenda so you know where you need to be and when.

As a Digital Discovery Day takes place online, make sure you have a good Wi-Fi connection before the event starts. And keep the questions you prepared for Step Four ready – this is your opportunity to ask them and get the information you need.
