Collaboration and quality assurance
We have an extensive network of partners, professionals, organisations in the field and other knowledge institutions with whom we have built sustainable collaborations. We prefer new collaborations to be long term and we look for links with our existing network. We are also open to more clearly defined and shorter-term topics, provided that the topic is appropriate within the framework of the line of researchs. We work in accordance with the Netherlands Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (NGWI). This means, among other things, that our research is always independent and methodologically sound.
How can we work together?
The Resilient Democracy Research Group collaborates with partners in several ways: through joint grant-based knowledge development, through commissioned research, through conducting applied scientific research and through sharing existing knowledge in lectures, workshops and tailor-made projects.
We work with various professional groups to develop new knowledge and refine existing knowledge based on demand articulation. Together with consortia, we apply for grants from a variety of different funding bodies.
We are regularly commissioned by organisations in the professional field to conduct research based on real-life issues. This involves collaborating with the client to develop a research plan that meets their knowledge needs.
We conduct scientific research in collaboration with researchers from other universities of applied sciences and research universities, both national and international. Our research is published in peer-reviewed industry and scientific journals.
We regularly receive requests to give lectures, workshops, guest lectures or presentations. In this way, we transfer the knowledge we have developed to committed professionals and students.

Looking for funding opportunities together
When opportunities arise for joint projects within our line of researchs, we are happy to work together to pursue funding opportunities. We know how to access various sources of funding, including grants, subsidies and innovation budgets. The most important thing for us is that the content is the starting point for every project. In consultation with you, we will look for the most appropriate funding based on the content.
There are a number of funding opportunities available to support the applied research we undertake.
The research group has been in operation for a number of years, in part thanks to large grants. We have also developed a good relationship with several grant and subsidy providers.
For thematic calls, the research group registers as a coordinator or partner in a consortium. We can ensure the right composition for each consortium thanks to our extensive network.
Tailor-made research grants can also be awarded for government agencies with specific research needs. The research group can function as coordinator and consortium partner in this case.
