NON EU/EEA students
We will automatically reserve a room for visa-students, after we received your payment of the package fee. Students who are going to follow an Exchange programme at Saxion, need to apply for a room via the contact person of their school.

European Students
We encourage European students to find their own accommodation, but in case you would like to have everything arranged in time, we do offer the possibility to reserve a room in one of our international student houses. For more information check the terms & conditions.

The following services are included in the rental fee:

  • Furnished room
  • Normal use gas, water, electricity
  • Communal (local) taxes
  • Internet
  • Care-taker services
  • Use of cooker, refrigerator, cutlery and pans, vacuum cleaner and washing machine

For package fee students (visa-students) it is compulsory to rent the accommodation through Saxion Universities of Applied Sciences during the first academic year.

2. Arrival

As soon as you booked your flight ticket, you will need to provide Saxion Housing with your arrival details via an online arrival information form.

Short before your arrival in The Netherlands the Housing Office will send you more detailed information about your arrival (including a mobile phone number), telling you exactly what steps to take.

Yes, we offer pick-up service by coach from Schiphol airport (only). Check this page for the dates this service is offered.

If you would like to use this pick-up service you will need to take this into account when you book your flight. If necessary you can consider booking a budget hotel near/at Schiphol airport. We can recommend Ibis budget hotel Schiphol airport, who offer a free shuttle service from/to the airport.

Yes there is. One of our care takers or Saxion Buddies will meet you at the train station and bring you to your room. In order to arrange this we do ask you to provide us with your arrival details the latest 5 days prior to your arrival via our online form.

Unfortunately we cannot arrange this for you, so you can only do this after your arrival in The Netherlands.

We always try to separate male/female students but in some cases this is not possible.

European students can arrange their own housing in the Netherlands.
