The following services are included in the rental fee:

  • Use of cooker, refrigerator, cutlery and pans, vacuum cleaner and washing machine

It is not compulsory to rent accommodation through Saxion. However we would like to urge you to start making arrangements in time. You really need to invest time in arranging suitable accommodation. Please note you will need an official rental agreement for your stay in the Netherlands. With a sub-lease contract you cannot get a city hall registration

2. Arrival

As soon as you booked your flight ticket, you will need to provide Saxion Housing with your arrival details via an online arrival information form.

Short before your arrival in The Netherlands International Office will send you more detailed information about your arrival (including a mobile phone number), telling you exactly what steps to take.

For students that made reservations for a room there is a free bus pick-up service available that brings students from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport to the city where you live (Enschede or Deventer).

Upon your arrival at Schiphol airport, Saxion students will welcome you at the meeting point at Schiphol Plaza (close to Burger King) and accompany you to the Saxion bus. This bus will take you to your accommodation, where you will be met by the care takers or Saxion students who help you to get settled.

For students that made reservations for a studio via De Veste, you are welcome to join our pick-up service as well (double check starting date contract). The bus can make a stop on the campus of the University of Twente which allows you to collect your keys at De Veste or an alternative place on campus.

Saxion offers this pick up service from the airport on the following days:

  • Friday 2 February (dept. 2PM)*
  • Friday 9 February (dept. 2PM)*

* In case of limited numbers of students signing up for the pick-up service by bus could be replaced by a pick-up service by train

We would like to refer to www.saxion.edu/arrival for details.
