Gerry Geitz new member of the Saxion Supervisory Board
Gerry Geitz will be joining Saxion's Supervisory Board on 1 September 2026. She will be taking the place of Christa Boer as a member of the Supervisory Board, who in turn will be succeeding Karl Dittrich as Chair of the Board. Gerry will also become chairperson of the Education and Research Committee on behalf of the board.

Gerry Geitz has extensive executive and management experience in education and the public domain. Since 2024, she has been chairperson of the Executive Board of CBO Meilân, an educational organisation with fifteen primary schools in Friesland. Prior to that, Gerry worked at the Province of Drenthe, was a member of the Executive Board of Noorderpoort and in various positions in the fields of education, research and innovation at NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. As a professor, she has made a key contribution to the development of the concept of Design Based Education at this university of applied sciences. In addition, she has been a supervisor in secondary education for over 7 years and is also supervising a PhD candidate in educational sciences.

In addition to Gerry Geitz, as of September, Saxion's Supervisory Board will consist of Christa Boer (new chairperson), Benno Siegert, Henrike Branderhorst and Carmelo Messina. Karl Dittrich has been a member of the Supervisory Board for 8 years and will be saying farewell in September. Saxion wishes Gerry Geitz every success as member of the Supervisory Board.
