The Saxion Language School closely monitors the news and is following the advice and instructions given by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), WHO and the Dutch Government. Based upon the current situation we are hopeful about the chances of offering two language programmes at the Saxion Language School next spring (January 2021-July 2021).
Start in January 2021
We love to welcome you on campus in late January 2021 at the start of the spring semester. We hope that by that time the current international travel restrictions will be lifted. At the start of the spring semester we will offer two programmes: Intensive programme and the normal programme.
Intensive language programme
We offer a one-time-only semester programme for students with an overall bandwidth of IELTS 5.0 that were not able to start in September 2020, due to the consequences of the Covid-19 outbreak. By offering this intensive semester preparatory programme you will still be able to join a Bachelor degree programme in September 2021. Meaning you will not have a study delay in case you successfully complete this programme.
Normal language programme
Besides the additional programme, we also offer the normal preparatory semester for students with an overall bandwidth of 5.5 or higher.
As of late January 2021, the Saxion Language School will offer on-campus education. The programme will be on-campus at our Saxion campus in Deventer. That will give us the opportunity to offer you a full experience of studying in the Netherlands. The programme will consist of classes, on campus meetings with fellow students and lecturers and project work. When all of you have arrived in the Netherlands, we will also be able to organise (cultural) events and daytrips
The procedure for enrolment is simple. You enrol for the Preparatory semester (code ZPREP-PSH) course via sis.saxion.nl/account. In case you have enrolled before, all your documents which you have uploaded earlier are still in the system (you can use the same login credentials). Based on your uploaded English language test results, we will decide in which language programme you will start (5.0 = intensive language programme and 5.5 or above = normal language programme).
