Digital skills for innovation
Digital skills are crucial in data-driven innovation. This line of research focuses on understanding, developing and advancing the digital skills needed for effective data-driven innovation in different contexts. We strengthen skills in data analysis, statistics and AI, and develop a data-driven mindset and culture where data insights are actively involved in decision-making and innovation. We help create an innovative and data-driven climate through collaboration and knowledge sharing, to enable organisations and individuals to be better prepared for future challenges.
Key themes in the study
We focus on improving the digital competencies of staff, students and pupils. This includes providing training and workshops in the field of data analysis, programming, cybersecurity and the use of advanced digital tools. As a result, people can contribute to data-driven innovation and are better prepared for the demands of the modern job market.
This theme includes initiatives aimed at fostering a culture in which people are continually developing: both professionally and personally. It includes providing flexible learning pathways and training programmes. These enable people to continuously update their knowledge and skills. This allows them to innovate continuously, as they are able to adapt to technological changes.
This theme includes developing educational programmes and curricula that prepare students and school students for a career in the digital world. We help future generations acquire the skills and knowledge they need by integrating technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data into education. This means that later on these future generations will thrive in a data-driven society.
We are busy developing a master's degree in Security and Digitalisation together with the Centre for Security and Digitalisation, University of Twente and other Saxion research groups. Including the Digital Intelligence module for advanced data analytics and cybersecurity. More information.
The Digital Workplace Stedendriehoek helps businesses implement digital technologies. They do this through workshops, consultation and practical support to accelerate digital transformation. More information.
