Data Driven Innovation

Our research group is active in the field of computational social science, with in-depth knowledge of data, statistics, social sciences and digitalisation.

We strive to understand social phenomena and develop practical insights and tools that help organisations, policymakers, and individuals make data-driven decisions and accelerate digital transformation.

Our areas of expertise

Artificial intelligence and machine learning

We develop and implement advanced predictive models and data-driven decision-support systems. We offer practical workshops and training programmes to improve digital skills. These focus on data analysis, statistics, artificial intelligence and machine learning. We actively support the development of self-learning systems that can make decisions autonomously. These systems provide actionable insights for various applications.

Data analytics and predictive models

Transform data into valuable insights. We use our expertise in data analytics and predictive modelling to identify trends and patterns that support strategic decisions and enable future success. Our researchers analyse complex data using advanced techniques and develop predictive models. Our visualisations make data insights accessible and so support effective decision-making.

Digital skills

We offer specialised training and support to optimise digital skills. We prepare staff and students for a future where data analysis and digital tools are essential. Our programmes focus on topics like data visualisation and artificial intelligence (AI) and can be tailored to specific needs.

Collaboration between the research group, the professional field and education

We are structurally involved in education and we are proud of that. For example, we are actively involved in various master's and minors, including the master's in Security and Digitalisation and the minor Digital Innovation.

In addition to providing graduation projects and multidisciplinary projects, we also organise initiatives that connect students with organisations. We attach great importance to connecting different levels of education and directions to the professional field. As a result, students gain valuable practical experience and companies benefit from their fresh insights and innovative ideas.
