Want to work with us as a student?
The Online Resilience Research Group works with students from different years, fields of study and knowledge institutions. Examples of collaboration include: the Cybercrime Excellence Track, the Minor Cybercrime & Cyber Resilience; the Minor Cybersecurity; the research skills course for first-year students of Integral Security Science and Security Management; assignments in the Safety & Security lab of the Integral Security Science and Security Management programmes and the StadsLAB of the Public Administration programme. In addition, students from within and outside Saxion do internships with us and regularly do graduation assignments with us. We also give guest lectures at Saxion and other knowledge institutions on an ongoing basis.
Excellence track Cybercrime
In the Cybercrime Excellence Track, students from various Saxion programmes do research with researchers in one of the three Cyber Resilience research lines namely, Cyber Resilient Citizens; Cyber Resilient Organisations or Digital Society. This means that students over the course of three years, earn 30 ECTS on top of their regular bachelor’s degree and receive the deserved distinction of ‘Excellent student’ on their degree certificate. Students can sign up for this programme after a motivational interview.
Become part of our network
Interested students can contact senior research line researchers or the professor. Together we can then explore what might best suit your interests.
Learning and working at the same time
There is also a number of student assistants from programmes at and outside Saxion working as colleagues at the Online Resilience Research Group. As a supporting researcher, you will participate in our projects and learn all the ins and outs of applied scientific research in addition to your studies.
Internship and graduation opportunities
In principle, all students interested in our research group’s research lines are welcome to come and do an internship and graduation assignment with us. We are also open to students from other applied universities and universities.
Increase your opportunities after completing your studies
By working with our research group during your studies, you will learn from substantive experts in the research lines and come into contact with our broad network. This increases your chances of finding a suitable job after your studies.
