The Saxion INTRO takes place from Tuesday, August 26 to Thursday, August 28, 2025.
This event is organized by Saxion, your teaching team, and students/student association from your study program. Don’t miss out—sign up via the Saxion INTRO-page (overnight stays are available too!). Together, we’ll make sure you have a fantastic start of your study!
On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, your study program will welcome you in the Central Hall. Look for us at your program’s reception desk! Lunch is included on this day.
There will also be a study program activity on Wednesday, August 27.
Have you signed up for the full introduction package? That’s awesome! In addition to the daytime study program (until 17:00) on Tuesday and Wednesday, you’ll also enjoy dinner on both days, take part in an amazing INTRO event on Thursday, August 28, and join a fun evening program every night.

Laptop Requirements (also listed on the learning materials list):
If you are a Civil Engineering student planning to purchase a laptop or want to check if your current laptop meets the requirements, refer to the system requirements at: https://www.autodesk.nl/products.
We use several Autodesk applications, such as Civil3D, Infraworks, and Revit.
Advice: Do not choose the “Minimum” requirements—preferably go for “Value.” The best (but most expensive) option is “Performance.”
If you choose an Apple laptop, make sure you run the Windows operating system on it. The software will only work in this Windows environment.
Note: If you already have a laptop that doesn’t fully meet the requirements, of course, start by using it and see how the software performs.
Specifications for Revit 2024:
- 64-bit Windows operating system. Apple OS is not supported!
- 16GB RAM. 8GB is the minimum, but 16GB is recommended.
- Intel i5 to i7 processor. AMD is also acceptable, as long as the clock speed is above 2 GHz for comfortable use.
- A graphics card can be onboard, but the better the performance, the more comfortable the software experience will be.
One of the software packages you will be working with is Autodesk Revit.
