It's almost time: soon you will start your part-time programme! On this page you will find all the important information you need to be well prepared. Keep an eye on the page even just before the start, there may be changes.

Classes will start on Monday 31 August 2026. Your schedule will be available online at Xedule  in August. Please check all schedules, so you will have an idea about subjects and times on the first days of your study. You will receive detailed information upon arrival at Saxion University and online.

On MySaxion.nl you will find all the tools you need for your studies at Saxion. You can find the following on MySaxion:

  • Your timetable and changes to your timetable;
  • Information about exams;
  • Your most recent e-mails, grades and Bison and Brightspace announcements;
  • Who’s who: easily search for a lecturer or fellow student;
  • Information about your degree programme and Saxion's facilities;
  • Urgent notices and news

MySaxion Student App
Thanks to the new MySaxion Student App, you can now check your phone at any moment to see your current timetable and exam timetable. If a timetable changes, then you will receive a notification. Read on to see how to install the app and what you can expect of it.  

This is the first step towards offering you a smartphone app that has all the information you could need during your studies. Download the app, available in the store now!  

Studiewinkel.nl

You can order your textbooks for your studies at Saxion at Studiewinkel.nl.  Order your entire booklist or easily buy individual books with a 5% student discount.

The booklist can be found via the link above or by using the steps below on the website of Studiewinkel.nl (in Dutch).

  • Select Saxion in the search bar
  • Then select the location of your course
  • Select your study programme
  • View the booklist

Of course you are free to order your textbooks through other channels and suppliers. Some books are also available second hand. Please make sure you order the correct version/ edition. 

Laptop requirements

You can find the laptop requirements for your programme on the booklist. In addition, you will take digital exams on your own laptop. This is called BYOD: Bring Your Own Device. The current BYOD requirements can be found here and on mijn.saxion.nl.

INTRO is coming up and you don't want to miss it! 💚 This is your first week at Saxion and your introduction to your study programme, fellow students and student city. 25 & 26 August, you will go out with your study programme for an unforgettable start to your studies! Curious about your INTRO programme? 📅 You can find it in the INTRO-app.

From 20 August, you’ll receive instructions by email on how to download the app and log in. If you buy a ticket later, keep an eye on your inbox. Please note: you need a ticket to download the app!

Programme introduction

The Saxion INTRO takes place on Tuesday 25 August and Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
This event is organized by Saxion, your teaching team, and students/student association from your study programme. Don’t miss out—sign up via the Saxion INTRO page (overnight stays are available too!). Together, we’ll make sure you have a fantastic start of your study!

Additional Information
On Tuesday, 25 August 2026, you have to register yourself and after that your study programme will welcome you in the Central Hall. Look for us at your programmes reception desk!

The 0-euro ticket is valid until Tuesday 25th 12:00 PM. 

Have you signed up for the full introduction package? That’s awesome! In addition to all the activities on Tuesday and Wednesday, you’ll also enjoy lunch/brunch and dinner on both days, and we’ll end to days of fun with an amazing INTRO concert at the Grote Markt.
