Our focus

The research group contributes to the knowledge and skills of professionals and teachers so that they can support the development of young children. The research group responds to the current need for professionalisation in the field of broad development stimulation. This concerns the primary process (interaction) between teacher and pupil.

Early childhood education

Early developmental outcomes lay the foundation for later development. For young children, stimulating development in the broadest sense is more likely to be successful than for older pupils and has a direct impact on later educational success. Our Professional Learning Communities include support for lower primary teachers on topics such as learning through play.

Equal opportunities and language

Language is the tool for learning and acquiring new knowledge. To ensure equal opportunities, it is necessary to optimise the pedagogical and educational provision in language education for pupils at risk. The question here is how teachers can effectively stimulate language performance of their pupils.

Personal safety at school

According to the Safety in School Act (2015), schools must meet various requirements in order to offer a living safety policy. The research group advises and supports schools in mapping and improving personal safety through positive behaviour support and social-emotional learning.
