Are you interested in creating systems such as a robotic lawnmower, an intelligent assistant for people with disabilities, a smart water management controller that prevents floods in a big city or virtual-reality glasses for crime-scene investigators? As a student of the Applied Computer Science programme you’ll be working with the newest software and embedded hardware technologies that make such systems possible.
All the lessons are taught in English, and you will also work alongside students with 25 other nationalities.
Option Electrical and Electronic Engineering
The first quarter of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Applied Computer Science share a common base. If you find that you like designing and building hardware more than programming, you can always switch programmes.
You get to know your fellow students and teachers quickly! Moreover, the practical lessons are given in small groups, so there is plenty of one-on-one interaction.

During your study
You’ll learn to work with a broad range of tools and techniques, spanning from system programming in C and C++, trough electronics, embedded systems and networking, to building interactive, cross-platform applications in C#. Following your interests, you’ll be able to broaden your knowledge in digital signal processing and process control or in computer vision and machine learning. Ultimately, after graduating, you’ll be prepared to tackle the many challenges the modern high-tech industry faces.
Possibilities after your study
On completion of the programme you will be awarded the Applied Computer Science degree and you may then use the BSc degree title. You can work for a wide range of companies as a software and hardware designer, programmer, or developer.
