Get updatesWhat makes Saxion unique?
Starting your studies in a new country comes with many questions. That is why Saxion offers a personal onboarding programme that helps you settle in quickly. From practical support to social activities, you get guidance step by step. You meet fellow students, learn how things work in the Netherlands, and build your life here with confidence and support from day one.
Saxion has three locations in the eastern Netherlands, each in walking distance to the city centre and train stations. The cities where Saxion is located, Enschede, Deventer and Apeldoorn are smaller and calmer than the larger Dutch student cities, which makes settling in easier. You can get around quickly and organise daily life without long travel times. Shops, sports facilities, green spaces, and study places are close by, so everything you need is within biking distance!
Housing is one of the biggest concerns for international students, and we are realistic about that. Compared to larger Dutch cities, the Saxion region offers more affordable housing and better chances of finding a place. We support you with clear information, aiming to helping you secure accommodation and reduce stress before and after arrival.
Saxion focuses on practical education that prepares you for the working world. Many programmes include projects with real companies, internships, or graduation assignments connected to industry. As a result, around 90 percent of graduates find a job within one and a half years after graduation. Being located near strong tech and innovation regions also opens doors during and after your studies.
I feel really comfortable here in the Netherlands. In this country, it feels like nothing is in your way.
